Our LifeCare history reflects the consistent success of this strategy.

LifeCare Properties (LCP), founded by D. Brooks Holstein, embodies the core principles of LifeCare Development with a vision to establish high-quality senior living communities. In a significant move reflecting its commitment to enhancing LifeCare history, LCP has entered a joint venture with Blake Management Group (BMG) to develop exceptional communities in Texas.

The Blake at New Braunfels and The Blake at Waco are exemplary models of senior living communities that embody the principles of LifeCare Development, reflecting a rich LifeCare History that prioritizes the well-being and happiness of residents.

Anticipating labor and supply chain disruptions, LifeCare Development proactively orders building materials and FF&E, creatively overcoming obstacles stemming from COVID-19. In response to concerns generated by the pandemic, LifeCare Development enhances its senior living communities by incorporating air purification technology in the New Braunfels and Waco plans. Despite record-breaking weather events throughout 2020, both projects remain on track, showcasing the resilience that is part of LifeCare history.

LifeCare Development establishes a key equity partnership with ERG Enterprises, enhancing our development capabilities and market reach in the senior living communities sector. LifeCare History is marked by this collaboration as LCP and ERG announce plans for The Blake at Tyler. Additionally, The Blake at Waco has earned full licensure and will open to residents in October, while The Blake at New Braunfels will do the same in November.

Construction begins on The Blake at Tyler, a key project in the evolution of LifeCare Development’s senior living communities. LCP’s design partner, Banko Design, has earned the prestigious 2022 Bronze Award from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) for The Blake at Waco, exemplifying the commitment to excellence rooted in LifeCare's history. Additionally, both The Blake at Waco and The Blake at New Braunfels have been awarded the Accushield 5-Star Safety Rating Seal.

The Blake at New Braunfels, a notable example of LifeCare Development's commitment to quality care, achieves stabilization in April, 18 months after licensure. Similarly, The Blake at Waco, another facility within this esteemed LifeCare History, reaches stabilization in July, 22 months after licensure. By October, The Blake at New Braunfels proudly achieves 100% occupancy, highlighting its appeal within the senior living communities sector.

LifeCare Development celebrates a significant milestone as The Blake at Waco achieves 100% occupancy in March. In June, LifeCare History continues with the successful sale of The Blake at New Braunfels to Inspired Healthcare Capital. The Blake at Tyler earns full licensure and opens to residents in July, enhancing the community's offerings in senior living communities. In October, LCP completes the sale of The Blake at Waco to a publicly traded REIT, further advancing LifeCare Development's mission. Finally, The Blake at Tyler marks its Grand Opening in December, creating more vibrant options for those seeking quality senior living communities.
